The CentralDB system is a centralized storage of
data consisting of transcribed files, doctors' and
patients' information (of a particular hospital/clinic).
The dictations by different doctors are sent from
Dictation Manager to the DataCenter. CentralDB then
queries the DataCenter for receiving the transcribed
documents corresponding to these dictations. The
documents received are stored and later sent to
individual doctors on request through Dictation
Manager.CentralDB
also has another component: PrintStation.
Through PrintStation, the user has the option
to E-mail, Print, Fax and FTP the transcribed
documents either manually or automatically. This
also provides the facility to schedule mailing,
printing, faxing and file transfer of transcripts
as per user requirement. Current status of the
scheduled jobs can also be determined with the
PrintStation.
